Purpose

LightsOn! Fairfield is a community-driven charitable initiative uniting neighbors in support of local families facing food insecurity. Over the course of a 30 day period, Fairfield households will “light up” their homes in orange —each serving as a neighborhood food collection point.

How It Works

• Each participating home (“Host House”) will sign up-for a specific collection day using the sign up sheet (link below). Any and all Fairfield residents are welcome to participate.

• Hosts will receive an orange yard light to display during their hosting period, signaling that donations are welcome.

• Community members can drop off non-perishable food and pantry items at any host home (a collection basket, bin, or table will be visibly marked).

• Hosts will collect and deliver their donations at the end of their hosting date to Fairfield Town Hall or Fairfield Social Services for distribution to Operation Hope and other local partners.

Goal

To collectively mobilize residents across Fairfield to help restock local pantries and strengthen community connection through visible acts of giving.
